3D Computer generated visuals can be invaluable for advertising new or difficult to photograph products.

The above slides shows shows a couple examples of this. The cherry-cube tiles had yet to be manufactured when the advertisement was prepared.

Cf Fabrication were another example. Showing off their various building based fabrications in situ. The only alternative to this would have been expensive aerial photography.
