On-line databases were once a high cost commodity ran by only the elite. Today web databases are commonplace.

Duo can develop databases to meet your exact requirements. Over the past three years we have generally looked to create generic all purpose  systems ( as in our easy edit website system ). However we do from time to time develop databases designed for a specific function.

Our web servers run Linux, and as in the case of Yahoo we like to use the open source database system 'Mysql'. One of the most common on-line databases today it proves to be very powerful far outstripping the speed of Microsoft Access and give MSSQL a run for it's money.

Our database systems run on a secure automatic duplicating system across two servers so we automatically backup all your data. In four years of running websites from MYSQL we have never had a crash or lost any data.

On-line databases can be used to store your website content, your visitors, customers and your e-commerce orders. Once held in a database accessing the data can be done from our custom designed easy to use interfaces or can be transported to one of your own on-site systems using various techniques (including csv files, remote connections etc )
