How Much Does a Domain Name Cost?
Domain names can be bought on-line from a number of resellers. It is usually cheaper to get your domain from a reseller rather than the likes of Nominet. Nominet don't want to sell domains directly so they usually charge upwards of £80.
We generally use www.easily.co.uk for our domains, they sell uk domains at £10.00 inc vat and com domains at £35.00inc vat. There are numerous other resellers some cheaper, some more expensive. Whoever you buy your domain name from, you need to be able to instruct them to point it to your website. Often the very cheap domain names come from companies who are difficult to get in-touch with. Easily and other domain name resellers, give you access to a control panel allowing you to redirect to your website which can speed things up considerably.
