News and Events Management

Pages can be set up to list the latest news, events  and other constantly updated information added to the site.

The news listings can show a set number of the latest stories in date order. A couple of these stories can be filtered through to the front page. The same can apply to the events in that a list of future events can be listed on a page with a couple of these again shown on the front page. Past events and old news stories can be moved to an archive automatically. Creating archives of this type helps the site grow over time, increasing it’s attractiveness to search engines ( ie the more pages on the site the bigger the target for search engines and the more subsequent hits are received ) Also listing the ever changing information on the front page helps give the site a feeling of being up to the minute and gives an obvious reason for people to re-visit the site.
