Starrett Precision Optical

Throughout industry worldwide the name Starrett stands synonymous with the ultimate in precision, quality and reliability. The Optical profile projectors range of products have been designed and manufactured in the U.K. since 1965. Founded by ex-Rolls Royce personnel and originally known as Herald/Sigma the company-gained a worldwide reputation for producing high quality standard and custom designed projectors. The L.S. Starrett Company purchased the company in 1990, and invested in the continuing growth and development of, what is now Starrett Precision Optical Ltd. In more recent years the portfolio of products has been enhanced by the development of a range of video based measuring systems.

This is the second site we have produced for L.S. Starrett in the UK and follows on from the success of the main Starret UK site.

The design of this site has been developed to deliberately pay homage to the main starrett uk site. In place of the high contrast black and red of the main site we have softened this to a grey and red giving it a distinct feel, allowing for a 'familiar but different' aesthetic. Much of the functionality of Starrett.co.uk has also been carried over including the search facility, slideshow and multi-lingual element.
