Full Stack Web Developer

Who You Are:

You’re a full-stack JavaScript web developer, with good knowledge of JS, HTML, CSS, SQL and breadth of experience programming websites and applications. You know your way around front end frameworks, ideally Svelte JS, and back end systems including Node JS and have experience developing in these.

You are familiar with new and emerging programming standards. Have working knowledge of working with 3rd party APIs, and a strong interest in learning more. You’re familiar with workflows involving git or other version control, unit and integration testing. You’re keen on user experience, innovation and have an eye for detail.

Duo Design is a web development company, established in 2002. We have over a hundred active clients ranging from small businesses through to national and international companies. We produce online applications for many of our clients helping them manage their business processes and integrating with a number of back-end systems.

We have a strong passion for the work we do and are interested in collaboration with our clients on moving the web forward. We produce online experiences which push the technology to seamlessly improve our clients working processes and their online businesses.

What We Do:

We build websites and web applications. Our current web stack consists of “node js” on the server and “svelte js” on the front end. We deploy all our applications via a deploy tool to run our applications inside docker containers across a fleet of virtual machines. We host the websites for all of our clients and manage the servers they are deployed to.

Working Environment:

The position will be based at the Media City UK office, working closely with other members of the Duo Design team in a relaxed atmosphere. Media City UK is easily accessible with car parks available and excellent public transport links. There are excellent facilities in and around our building for food and drink.
